Happy New Year! Thanks to all who came out to Volume 11 to ring in
2010 with us. Much fun was had!
Next Sunday night (Jan 17th), we’re opening for Mother’s Finest at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh NC. We’re ultra-excited because we are HUGE Mother’s Finest fans. It’s an early show — we’ll be going on shortly after doors open at 8, and the whole thing will be over by 11 or so. Even if you don’t get MLK Day off work, that show will be worth being a little tired on a Monday.
See ya there!

We’re sad to have to share that Greg’s mom passed away this week, so we won’t be playing at Volume 11 this Saturday, November 7, with Powerman 5000, 9mm Disco, and Swarm Theory.
Mrs. Putnam was a super lady and a very supportive mom. In fact, she could frequently be seen at our hometown shows in her black Jam Pain Society skull shirt. We’ll miss her lots.
Although we won’t be able to perform Saturday, we hope you’ll still show your support for the bands and for Volume 11 and attend the show. It’s sure to be a great one!
We’ll let you know when we book our next show in Raleigh. In the mean time, take care of yourselves, and as always, thanks for your support.
Airbrush master Brian Ray created this insanely cool shirt and wore it to a show at Gil’s in Virginia Beach. Amazing, isn’t it?! We were blown away and so very honored. BTW, we added the signatures.
Check out more of Brian’s work in his photo section at http://www.myspace.com/Lafnsun.
Along with so much of the world, we were knocked to our knees by the sudden passing of Michael Jackson. As long-time fans know, his music is a huge influence of ours, and that inspiration is a lot of what makes Jam Pain Society what we are. We hope the world remembers him for his extraordinary talent and the beauty of his soul. We’ll forever be thankful for and do our best to honor the gifts he shared.
Metal Mike van Rijswijk from Aardschok Magazine and Kink FM listed Black Light Messiah in his top ten albums for 2008. See his list, along with lists from other Kink FM personnel, here.
Back in the U.S. on away-team.com, Black Light Messiah made Craig “Bam Bam” Stegall’s “Top Albums For 2008″.
Thanks guys!

Our pal Jonathan Lowry strikes again. This time it’s with way cool footage of us performing “You Made Me” at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh NC. Check it out on the media page.
